International Law supports the right of a people to resist military occupation up and including armed resistance. All the strikes, protests, demos, and boycotts are a form of a resistance. And armed defense of the civilian population and attacked on military settlements are all legitimate. <br /><br />I think most people would agree that armed resistance was a nessicary measure by the ANC, Communist Party, and Spear of the Nation to defeat white supremacy in South Africa. Surely a similar right exist for the Palestinians?<br /><br />For this comment there is a interesting link in the comparison of Israel and South Africa that much of the armed resistence was informed by South African Jews and their World War II combat experience. Jews do love freedom- I'll give them that- hell some of the most vocal supporters of the Palestinian people and their right to resist are Jewish.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
