Gay Marriage coming to South Africa...
Yay!!!! I wish it was the legislature rathe than the courts...but I'm still happy.
South Africa on Thursday became the fifth country to legalize same-sex marriage.
The Constitutional Court, the highest court in South Africa, ruled that it is unconstitutional to deny gay and lesbian couples the right to marry.
The court ordered Parliament to amend marriage laws within 12 months. If it fails to act within that timeframe, the court said the ruling would automatically change the law to include same-sex unions.
"The current definition of marriage is considered to be inconsistent with the constitution," the written ruling said.

Yeah, and STILL the right dominated USA condemns gays. I don't understand how a gay person can support conservative causes when, in the end, conservatism will throw the gays out the door of the moving train before anyone else...
There's no such thing as a liberal gene in gay people.
Anonymous, there are various definitions to the word 'conservative'. Fred, are you a Barry Goldwater or libertarian type of conservative? Or do you adhere to some social conservative policies that are slightly different from the current socon movement?
I think that a 'neo-socon' movement that is queer inclusive will form in the future, focusing on broken families as well as community and social ethics. North-America, perticularly in the US is far behind certain areas of Europe in terms of community value, since it is more rugged and individualistic.
