The votes aren't there to overturn same-sex marriage...

There are now at least 9 Conservative MPs who support same-sex marriage.

You can see the latest poll of MPs....there just doesn't seem to be enough support to overturn SSM. Right now, there are at least 9 Conservative MPs who support SSM - John Baird, Sylvie Boucher, Lawrence Cannon, Michael Chong, Gerald Keddy, James Moore, Jim Prentice, Garth Turner and Josee Verner. There might even be more.
