Is Somalia going to supply terrorists world-wide?
A recent UN report revealed that over 700 Somali combatants aided Hizbullah during the recent war in Lebanon, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, Hizbullah provided the Somali fighters with training and weapons from Iran and Syria in return for their help in Lebanon, thus assisting the Islamic forces' struggle to gain control of Somalia.
Though it was unclear how the information was acquired; if proven true, this would be the first sign that Hizbullah received foreign assistance during the war.
The UN report also mentioned Iran, saying the country had tried to procure uranium from Somalia in exchange for weapons; however, it was unclear whether the transaction was successful.

Something about this story does not ring true, and why are we just hearing about this now?
I would think with the amount of reporters running around in this conflict an influx of 700 Somalians would be difficult to hide - even in Lebanon.
And how is it that the IDF didn't know, or if they did, how come this is the first time we are hearing about it? It would have been a great way to help shore up support during the conflict.
And how is it the the UN, who usually has the worse intel in the world, has it? Or maybe its Iran's way of covering up the involvement of the Republican Guards who were killed by the IDF - by suggesting their were not Iranians but Somalians?
Somalians have infiltrated many Western countries, they could take a lead role in terrorist activities quite easily.
