Algerian President can't even shake hands with a Jew....

Sarkozy had planned on bringing an Algerian-born French singer with him on his state visit to Algeria...
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem was quoted by the local press as saying that he would not receive him "or even shake hands with him."

Belkhadem, who is also secretary general of the ruling National Liberation Front (FLN) party, stressed that Macias is a "pro-Israel activist who blesses the abominable crimes against the Palestinian innocent people."

In 2000 already, Belkhadem prevented Macias to visit Algeria despite an invitation made to the singer by Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Born Gaston Ghrenassia in Constantine’s Jewish ghetto, the 68-year-old Macias has always expressed a strong desire to go back to his hometown.
