The global temperaturefell in May again....
Confirming what many of us have already noted from the anecdotal evidence coming in of a much cooler than normal May, such as late spring snows as far south as Arizona, extended skiing in Colorado, and delays in snow cover melting in many parts of the northern hemisphere, the University of Alabama, Huntsville (UAH) published their satellite derived Advanced Microwave Sounder Unit data set of the Lower Troposphere for May 2008.
It is significantly colder globally, colder even than the significant drop to -0.046°C seen in January 2008.
The global ∆T from April to May 2008 was -.195°C

Don't sweat if folks. (No pun intended)The environuts are losing the debate over man made global warming, as ever more contradictory evidence slips past their efforts at suppression. By the time the next election rolls around there should be sufficient data to blow their goofy theories out of the water. I don't expect the Liberals, the NDP, or the Green Party to accept it, but we may get some relief from listening to the Conservatives, who should know better, preaching about how they are taking action against this non-existent catastrophe.
By then people may begin to realize that this is just another socialist 'hidden agenda' tactic aimed at increasing the government's tax take.
Sadly, I disagree Powell. It isn't the opposition that is driving this issue - it is the media. And I don't see the media stopping with the hysteria anytime soon because it sells papers. The only way it will stop now is if the media are hit in the pocketbook - once the "remedy" to AGW begins to drive the world's economy into the toilet and the 21st Century's first "Great Depression" sets in, then we might see governments with the kahunas to stand up and actually protects us. Until then, enjoy the ride into the poor house.
