A prominent Islamic Scholar and former president of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council, Alhagie Ahmed Cherno Banding Drammeh, has said that Muslim men who marry more than four wives should be stoned to death.
The renowned preacher made this pronouncement to The Point yesterday following a media report that a man in Nigeria’s Niger State, known as Mr Bello Abubakar, is married with 86 wives and 170 children.

Do you have a problem with extreme Islam or traditions..because I bet 98% of your readers have not experienced any of these traditions..they are not western traditions they are Islamic. You want to criticize those who hold the traditional western view of man+woman=marrige but you sabotage yourself. Western traditionalists look at your postings of bizarre Islamic behaviour and they say to themselves, yes this shows how the "other" is so wrong and our way is right...and they group you in with the other.
Instead you should use other Western traditions such as freedom, seperation of church & state, and equal rights to help people evolve their view of the western tradition of marriage.
