THE SA Jewish Board of Deputies has condemned statements reportedly made by the deputy minister of foreign affairs, Fatima Hajaig, as “classic anti-Jewish stereotyping and conspiracy-theory mongering”.
The board laid a formal complaint with the SA Human Rights Commission after Hajaig allegedly told a pro-Palestinian rally in Lenasia on January 14 that control of the US and most Western countries was in the hands of “Jewish money”.

The politics is that the RSA is looking to be the non-aligned political power in the Middle East. This means, mostly, making nice with the Islamists.

This is not surprising given what has been going on since 1994. A (nominally) Jewish cabinet Minister Ronnie Kasrils, who was an actual ANC terrorist has led the anti-Israel charge.
