Anti-semitism at York University...

I'm happy I am not at University right now....
The anti-Jewish aggression on Canadian campuses, especially at York University, has reached new heights. One pro-Israel student was awakened at home last week in the middle of the night and threatened – his family would be raped and murdered – while another student was assaulted in Vari Hall.

The male student whose family was threatened, a Thornhill resident, immediately notified York Regional Police (YRP). According to Detective Brett Kemp, head of the YRP hate-crime unit, the report has been flagged as a serious hate crime and seasoned investigators are working on the case.

“It’s very disconcerting, based on the hate aspect,” he said.

According to several witnesses, the other student, a female, had taken flyers from a table run by Students Against Israeli Apartheid (SAIA). A male SAIA representative chased after her and assaulted her verbally before grabbing and shaking her. Toronto Police were called and arrived at the scene about 15 minutes later. No charges were laid by police.

Those are just the incidents you hear about. Currently there is a movement to impeach the current executives of the York Federation of Students, for their total inaction during the strike. As a result, YFS members and supporters have been trying to rally support to their cause by claiming the Drop YFS movement is nothing but a cover for "the zionists to take over campus". Its disgusting, and unfortunetly at york theres enough of those types of people to allow that kind of accusation to work.

This will no doubt help the process along:

OTTAWA - Canada will increase the number of refugees it accepts this year from Iraq, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced this morning.

Testifying before parliament's immigration committee, Kenney said Canada will increase the number of sponsored refugees it accepts from its mission in Damascus by at least 1,300 people. That means the Damascus mission will accept 2,500 refugees under its private sponsorship program and 1,400 through the Government Assisted Refugee program.

Kenney said that's four times as many Iraqi refugees than in 2005.

"Canada is doing more than any country in the world, with the exception of the United States to help the plight of Iraqi refugees."

York is a disgusting breeding ground for hateful left-wing fascists, it is fully encouraged by the narrow minded faculty.

Apparently the 'progressives' are encouraging even more hatred than there was a few years ago.

Anti-Semitism is racism. Racism under any guise is deplorable. Let's be careful of directing similar sentiments at other groups. Being Iraqi does not mean someone is Anti-Semitic. Such a suggestion does this cause no good. Describing York as a "breeding ground for hateful left-wing fascists" is itself a very hateful statement, as in, filled with vitriol. This issue is too serious to let it become muddied by name calling.
