The son of Libya's leader says he is putting together an alliance of nonprofit organizations from across the Arab world to tackle the issue of human rights and democracy in the Middle East.

Seif al-Islam Gadhafi said in an interview with The Associated Press that almost 45 NGOs — both Muslim and Christian — have agreed to join The Alliance for Democracy and Human Rights in the Arab World.

Every country in the Middle East has been accused of human rights violations, including Libya where Moammar Gadhafi has ruled since he seized power in a coup in 1969.

And, what's their first priority????

He said the alliance's first issue would be the war in Gaza, and that it would seek to send investigators to the Hamas-ruled Palestinian territory and to southern Israel, which has been subject to Hamas rocketing for years.

Gadhafi said he expects the investigation the evidence from Gaza will result in the alliance taking its "concrete file" to the International Criminal Court, the world's first permanent war crimes tribunal.

Yup, a panel to look into democracy and human rights in the Arab world will focus on Israel - at least that's how I read this...
