Green campaigner takes private jet with entourage.....

You shouldn't fly...but they should....
Environmentalist Trudie Styler is being accused of hypocrisy for hiring a private jet just to take her and her stylists to a party at the White House.

Styler - who co-founded the Rainforest Foundation 20 years ago - allegedly took the gas-guzzling jet from New York to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

She was accompanied by an entourage of eight to help her prepare for the event, with those onboard including Manhattan-based hairstylist Antonio Prieto.
Looking good: Sting and his wife Trudie Styler look amazing at the black-tie White House Correspondents Dinner - but at what cost to the environment?

The flight has been criticised in the U.S. for creating a large carbon footprint for someone who is vocal in her support of the environment.

Husband Sting instead took a commercial flight from London to the Washington DC event - and insiders stress Trudie could just have easily 'taken the shuttle or an energy-saving Amtrak train' rather than a jet for her beauty team.

Styler's spokesperson insisted that the jet was not put on just for the hairstylist to join her.

'The stylist was added to a previous scheduled flight to DC and flew back commercially,' the spokesperson said.

Styler herself added: 'Yes, I do take planes. My life is to travel and my life is also to speak out about the horrors of an environment that is being abused at the hands of oil companies.'
