That secret CIA plan...
I doubt that Dick Cheney told the CIA not to tell Congress....wouldn't they get direction from the President???
The Wall Street Journal reports that the CIA program concealed from Congress was a secret plan to kill or capture al-Qaida operatives.Sounds like a good plan to me, no?
Former intelligence officials tell the Journal that the plan, which was ordered halted by agency Director Leon Panetta, was an attempt to carry out a 2001 presidential finding authorized by President George W. Bush.
Citing anonymous sources, the newspaper reported Monday that the CIA spent money on planning and maybe some training, but it never became fully operational. The plan was highly classified and the CIA has refused to comment on it.
The program remained so secret that no members of Congress were told about it, allegedly on orders of Vice President Dick Cheney.

The name Dick Cheney will continue to distract the radical leftist base of the Democratic party, but the rest of the public is getting tired of the tactic.
They started to develop a program, one of dozens probably, that was never implemented - this is news?

why the hell would anyone tell the congress or senate anything. those traitors can't be trusted with the time of day.
Poor Cheney. Bush is chillin' and relaxin' and all attempts to further demonize him have fallen flat, so Cheney becomes the left's latest target. Good luck, good sir.
