India needs more than $1 trillion to curb CO2 emissions....
Just more proof that CO2 emissions will not be falling anytime soon...
India may need to spend as much as $1.1 trillion over the next two decades to slow emissions of gases blamed for global warming, according to a study by McKinsey & Co.
The estimated increase in the South Asian nation’s emissions to 5 billion to 6.5 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent could be lowered by 30 percent to 50 percent by 2030 by investing in energy efficiency technologies in road transport, power, buildings and appliances, McKinsey said in a report today.
“Our analysis suggests that incremental capital of about 600 billion to 750 billion euros ($874 billion to $1.1 trillion) would be needed between 2010 and 2030, even after accounting for steep declines in the cost of emerging technologies such as solar power,” McKinsey said.

Put some of that call center and software programming income to work.
they can spend 10 trillion to cut their emissions and it will have almost no affect on climate, so why would the bother?
If it turns out that man-made global warming doesn't exist, do we get our money back?
I do not know how yet, but I bet the Cons buy into the Global Warming religion and there will be an enviromental tax of some kind by the end of next year to give money to India and China. Just watch Canada's stance on the up-coming Global Warming/Climate Change conference in europe this winter.
I dare any politician to stand up and say there is no man-made global warming. That party would probably get my vote for speaking the truth.
