Global warming kills 15 in Europe....

It now turns deadly....
Snowstorms and subfreezing temperatures have battered Europe, killing 15 people in Poland alone overnight and wreaking havoc on air, train and car travellers from the Nordics to Italy on the last weekend before Christmas.

France's civil aviation authority ordered the cancellation of 40 per cent of flights out of Paris' Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports Sunday through the mid-afternoon.

In Britain, officials at Manchester Airport – Britain's busiest outside the London area – said its only runway was being closed for emergency snow clearance and de-icing work.

Belgium's three biggest airports, Brussels, Charleroi and Liege, were completely shut, while travellers at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport faced delays and cancellations.

There was trouble on the railways too, with trains from Belgium to Italy delayed by icy, frozen tracks.

Eurostar trains through the Channel Tunnel weren't running Sunday as officials tried to pinpoint the problem that led four trains to come to a halt in the tunnel linking England and France, leaving passengers stranded for hours Saturday.

Officials have speculated that the quick transition from the icy cold of northern France to the relative warmth of the tunnel might have caused condensation that interfered with the trains' electrical systems.

The Eurostar shutdown has stranded more than 50,000 passengers in France and Britain over the past two days.

So far the cold snap has been deadliest in Poland, where 15 people froze to death between Saturday and Sunday as temperatures fell as low as minus 20 Celsius overnight in some places.

Like I have said, Lucy...whether it's warm or cold, you'll always blame global warming....

Fox News had a good special on climate change tonight.

Nothing sensational, just the facts. Or lack of them when it comes to ecofascist "scientists".

Lack of facts on Fox news? I don't believe that for a second!

Did you watch the special on climate change or did you arrive at a biased decision because you heard the words Fox News?

Science is based on provable facts, and if the facts can't be proved or have been manipulated then that's not science, it's religion.

Not for Lucy. She would never watch Fox news.....she never lets the truth get in the way of her 'facts'.

I have seen Fox News and it is an insult to broadcast journalism. We could never get away with what Fox gets away with thankfully.
I didn't see it Anonymous but then i didn't say that i did. Just mocked 'fair and balanced' Fox. There are more knee jerks than a chorus line performing the can-can at this site. I love it.

Chavez shutting down critical newspapers and broadcast media is fine but Fox News is an insult to journalism?

Dismissing out of hand any questioning of the scientific process to maintain facts is the bread and butter of far left econazis.

If the science is there then no amount of criticism can derail it but the science has to be verified not bulldozed along to satisfy an agenda, dismissing any questioning because you don't approve of it.

As far as i am aware, Chavez is not a journalist. Fox news is an extreme right wing broadcaster with an agenda so it will fit the evidence to suit its agenda. If you don't recognise that and judge the viewing accordingly, then i expect you to have a Fox news view on matters. Which you, the commenters here and Fred do much to my amusement. If you don't take in both sides, how will you have a balanced view?

Lucy talks about 'both' sides. But, aren't there many sides?

What exactly is a fox news view???

Lucy would prefer that we all just watch and listen to the BBC - which to here is just unbiased good news!

Ha!

Lucy, you could try judging things on merit instead of prejudice.

Evidence is as it is and can't be manipulated - unless you're a climate change scientist.

Truth will out.

Evidence is as it is and can't be manipulated...so naive it's almost moving that there are such innocent people left in the world. Lend me a tenner Anon, i promise to pay it back at the end of the month.
