Why can't McCartney stick to music???

I think I am going to have a big thick steak every Monday from now on...
Paul McCartney has taken his Meat-Free Monday campaign to the European Parliament, saying the power to halt global warming lies as much with individuals as with their governments.

McCartney met in Brussels with Rajendra K. Pachauri, head of the U.N.'s global climate change panel, and praised the virtue of skipping meat one day a week for the sake of the environment.

The former Beatle says the production of food, from farm to fork, accounts for 20 to 30 per cent of global greenhouse-gas emissions. Livestock production is responsible for around half of these emissions.

Pachauri lauded McCartney's initiative, saying it “makes the tasks of governments so much easier.”

Do you ever wonder why a bunch of money and celebrity status makes these A-holes experts that we should all listen to.

Has he not heard about ClimateGATE, ClimateQuiddick - as it is known at smalldeadanimals - guess not - The Roadkill Diaries and a woman who knows how to use a gun and hunt for her food would be very foreign to him - am from Alberta, was vegetarian for a year in university (to please a boyfriend)- enjoyed immensely the taste of my first steak after the vegan experience.

I wonder what his "carbon footprint" has been over the years compared with those of us who lead "normal" lives?

Yeah Paul, you have a lot of excess carbon output to make up for, but leave me the hell out of your guilt trip.

So unoriginal of him. The Catholic Church does this but on Fridays. He definitely needs to stick to music!
