I am happy Harper Prorogued....

Hey, I am one Canadian who is really happy that Harper allowed the Olympics to monopolize our TV screens for two weeks. What a great games, and no distractions from our politicians.

Canada has had a very good two weeks! Some of the stories coming out of the Olympics have been just fantastic.

Have we ever felt so good as a country???

Thank you, Stephen Harper!

Pm Harper is too far ahead of us with his moves.Other than fixing up the Senate during that short (compared to 4 months for Chretien & McGuinty)progue his party has been at work getting ready for a new throne speech and budget.Keeping parliament closed was a brilliant move. But isn't it sad that our Canadian Media still tried to screw things up.GO CANADA GO and hurray for the prorogue. Now if we can get the idiot Pamela Anderson to shut up about the seals we can all have a great finish to the best Olympics ever.

Harper should have prorogued the zoo until such time as he was required by the constitution to hold an election. Now we will all go back to listening to the Liberals and NDP telling us what a bunch of losers Canadians really are.

After seeing our Prime Minister attend so many functions and with his start off comments within the british columbia legislature, I have come to realize that he was the glue to our Canadian Ship--our leader--our cheerleader even...elevating the games to the common people..willing them to enjoy it. I appreciated Brian Williams intervewing him in such a friendly way and we saw a prime minister who was relaxed and excited for the present and hopeful and more realistic about the future. I had been thinking last night about how to speak about him only to find you beat me to it :-) - our PM is streaks ahead of any of the opposition that the only thing left to them is negativity. I would have hoped that they had gotten into the spirit of the last two weeks and would bring a sense of pride about the good things Canada is..instead of their concentration on assassinating all and sundry for their partisan ends....sometimes they can just be canadian and stand in the same line...they might even like it.
Our Country was not at rest, it was still being run, without parliament and without daggers drawn and arrows fired.

The circus will be back in town next week.

The opposition are on thin ice and will tread carefully for a few days in hopes of our national pride will subside.

From talking down our recovery, our troops, the opposition MP's are programmed to find the negative.

Nice to see Canada win GOLD over Ignatieff's "we Americans" in ice hockey today.

Harper sitting with Gretzky...looks good.

Did you see Layton at Gretzky's in Toronto trying so hard to get on camera so he could show that he was cheering for Canada.
