More Goldstone bias....

This is simply ridiculous....
A co-author of the Goldstone Gaza report, which accuses both Hamas and Israel of war crimes, claims the Gaza militant group fired only two rockets at Israel prior to last year's winter conflict, according to a new report published by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

The center, headed by Dore Gold, former Israel Ambassador to the UN, revealed the report at a press conference on Wednesday.

The report refers to recent remarks made by Desmond Travers, a retired Irish army colonel, who was one of four members of the fact-finding mission to Gaza and Israel.

Travers rejects the idea that Israel launched the offensive in Gaza on December 27, 2008, as an act of self-defense in response to Hamas rockets.

The Jerusalem center report says he bases this idea on a "fact" that he presents that in the month prior to start of the war, only "something like two" rockets that fell on Israel.

The report quotes an extensive interview with Travers in the Middle East Monitor, in which he also says that Hamas had sought "a continuation of the cease-fire" prior to Israel's offensive in Gaza.

Travers also rejects Israel Defense Forces photographs as proof that Hamas hid weapons in mosques during the conflict.

"I do not believe the photographs," Travers said, describing the IDF evidence as "spurious."

Travers also criticized Israel's past presence in Southern Lebanon, asserting that Israeli soldiers had "taken out and deliberately shot" Irish peacekeeping forces in the area.

He accused "Jewish lobbyists" of influencing British foreign policy in the Middle East and said that efforts to block the Goldstone reports findings have failed.

"The court of world opinion seems determined to see the report prevail," he said.

Depends what you call a rocket. If its a tin can full of rocks riding a liquid chemical reaction then that could be a rocket to do major damage. (real conservative)

Yes, it was only two rockets. What the report fails to mention is that it was two rockets every 15 minutes.

If Toronto recieved daily rocket attacks from Brampton and Oshawa along with threats to kill all Torontonians and push them into Lake Ontario. Liberal Torontonians would insist that nothing be done to stop them.... or would they?

Alternatively Philantropist, if Brampton built a wall around Torornto, decided what went in and out of Toronto, held random millitary incursions to kill Toronto politicians and then claimed parts of Toronto as Brampton and built houses on it, Torontons would do nothing to stop them...or would they?

Please ignore Lucy - she's an anti-Israel bigot, who actually believes that the Israelis are perpetrating a holocaust on the Palestiniains.

Idiots do not need answers - she needs medication.

Always make me smile when someone calls someone else an idiot and sprinkles their comment with spelling mistakes as they do it.

There is no wall around Gaza
There is a security fence built on the recognized border between Israel and Gaza to keep out terrorists.
It is true that parts of Israeli society see the West Bank and Gaza as part of their homeland but the vast majority of Israelis and Palestinians (with the exception of Hammas) want a two state solution where the future Palestinian state will be established in the W. Bank and Gaza.
In order to advance this vision , Israel uprooted its settlements and completely withdrew its military forces from there.
As soon as the Israelis left , Hamas took over it violently murdering the ruling Fatah people and intensfied their terror campaign against the Israeli civilian population in Israel proper.
Israel and Egypt completely shut their borders with Gaza to stop armament shipments from Iran to the ruling Hamas faction.
The irony is that what is holding the Palestinian Authority from being taken over by the Hamas in the W. Bank is Israels military presence there.
The Americans (The Dayton plan) and Israelis invested a lot in strengthening the Palestinian Authority security apparutus in order to keep law and order mainly against Hamas.
Iranian support in cash and weapons for Hamas promotes their agenda for an Islamic state instead of an arab secular state in Palestine.
Its not as simple as you try to protray it.
I urge you to take a look at the conflict with eyes wide open.
