How's this for ridiculous...

I don't know what it's like in your town, but the free entertainment weekly in Ottawa has those stupid left-wing columns that seem to be written by 15-year-olds. This week's column by John Akpata takes the cake -- in an article about the new Governor-General, Michaelle Jean.

Other media and journalists have argued that the new Governor-General may be linked to the Quebec soverignty movement. That may frighten a few people, but I am going to try to think positive. If the new Governor-General is a separatist, that makes her a nationalist - a person who wants to have their own nation. So yes, our new Governor-General may be called a black nationalist --I still don't see the problem.

I wish Akpata, instead of thinking positively, would just think.
