The gang that couldn't shoot straight...

Hey, it's not even the campaign and the Conservatives are fumbling.

Stephen Harper had to be called in to clarify statements made by Peter Mackay on CTV today.
The following exchange between Mackay and NDP House Leader Libby Davies had some wondering if the relationship between the opposition parties was fraying:

Davies: Well I know that Peter has difficulty with agreements and agreements being broken, but I can tell you. ..

MacKay: Well, Libby, when I have had notions in the past, it always resulted in an open, transparent process that actually culminated in a vote. So you can take cheap shots if you like but that's not going to help.

Davies: Well this agreement was with the leaders.

MacKay: That's not going to help any negotiations.

Davies: So maybe you need to go and talk to Mr. Harper, your leader.

Shortly after the show, the Conservatives issued the news release.
