Eight Greenpeace activists have been convicted of public order offences in connection with a rooftop protest at the home of John Prescott, the Deputy Prime Minister.
The four men and four women were found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour following a trial at Hull Magistrates' Court.
They were also convicted of contravening a police direction.
Judge Frederick Rutherford, trying the case, said: "Your defiance in respect of that particular matter shows a clear attitude towards breaking the law and an utter contempt for the rule of law - disgraceful behaviour."
The case follows an incident on April 26 when the eight protesters climbed on to Mr Prescott's home in Hull and erected solar panels while his wife, Pauline, was inside.
