Havin the Western Standard won't put our troops in any more danger....

A Canadian Islamic group is warning that the publication of controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad could put Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan in further danger.

The Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations held a news conference in Ottawa on Tuesday, a day after the Western Standard magazine reprinted some of the cartoons. At least three other Canadian publications had already printed one or more of the cartoons.

"I think the fact that people choose to reprint the cartoons could put our troops in danger," said council spokesperson Riad Saloojee.

"That's, I think, one of the reasons why major [Canadian] media outlets have been responsible and chosen not to do that."

Isn't this sort of blackmail? Are muslims here going to try and stir up touble in Afghanistan. And, no other Canadian media outlets have been cowardly - the reason they haven't published the cartoons is that they are scared...not responsible.
