Shame on Chapters/Indigo and Air Canada
Chapters/Indigo have decided not to carry the issue of the Western Standard with the cartoons. Shame on them. Air Canada has also decided not to the stock that issue of the Western Standard at its lounges. Shame on them as well.

Air Canada does not supprise me and perhaps may be a sound decision considering what they do. Air safety should be one of their LARGEST concerns. Chapters and Indigo is rediculous they stock all sorts of other controversial books and people should be deciding whether to buy or not. Maybe they should put them behind the counter if they dont want problems. It would be like having to buy a "porn mag and having to ask for it.
... and it's their right to make that decision ...
Chapters/Indigo put many small independent bookstores out of business with their big box stores. Now that the big box stores are practising censorship, it looks as if we need the independents back.
I wonder if Chapters/Indigo should be broken up as a restraint of trade? Surely, at least a boycott is in order.
And it's our right to not shop there anymore. Terrorism is only terrorism if you are terrified into not doing what you would normally do. I won't be buying my WS or another mags there for a while.

Yes, indeed.
> big box stores are practising censorship
... may be we should pass the law forcing them to sell ..... I hope you see the irony.
Rob brings up a good point, look at how many Chomsky books are on the shelves at Chapters, along with other anti-Israel and anti-American/anti-Bush books there are. They're worried about a few cartoons in a magazine?
