Latest from the mail bag....
Here's an e-mail I just received:
I'm a gay kiwi and I haven't really read your blog site. I couldn't. I visited the site with a degree of hope. . . an expectation of intelligence, openness and absence of prejudice. Alas it was not to be. . . . in fact the site an disturbed me. It disturbed me to realise that the arrogance of your arguments (in the sense of refusing to admit the rights of palestinIans) makes me wonder why I'm botheing to respond. Probably becos i have a niaeve belief that gay people have a potential to make a differencce, becos we are different -- to make a more positive analysis . . one that recognises that there are other points of view. . . other ways of being. My god! Gay people are NOT special. We are just ordinary people, like anybody else.
Sadly your partisan views demonstrate that we (ie homosexuals) are not special or sensitive, but merely mortals subejct to, and advocates for, the prejudice of generations past.
As for Palestinian rights - well, I want them to live in peace side-by-side with Israel. Unfortunately, they have not chosen that path. They could have had their independent state 6 years ago at Camp David, but they couldn't even come up with a counter-offer to Ehud Barak. Instead they launced a suicidal war against Israel that has left them impoverished. Only when the Palestinians decide that they love their children MORE than they hate the Israelies, will we have peace.

Spelling clearly isn't a gay thing either..at least not in New Zealand
I have found through many conversations with my gay friends that there is this "your not a good gay person if you believe this" crap going on. They dont think about the issue they think "o you hate me and thats why you believe this." I have had one say that to me. i said, we are talking about the enviroment, not you sexual orientation. The fact remains is that the community is spreading around telling otehrs what to believe. The same people telling the unions what to believe. I have deep respect for you actually being able to explain an issue through logic, not through spite. bravo and continue on!
"My god! Gay people are NOT special. We are just ordinary people, like anybody else."
And once every group in society realizes that they're not special, the world will be a better place.
Don't worry about the Israelis they can take care of themselves. I support them because among other things they don't hassle gays, unlike the Palestinians who murder them. As you know my view is as follows: Anyone who attacks gays and gets away with it must be tracked down and attacked. When they least expect it. Anyone who murders gays should be killed. If the courts won't do it, then some of our brothers in jail should shank them in their cells.
Pretty simple really. But I bet you it works. Bye bye homophobes. See you in Hell...
