We'll huff and we'll puff and we'll huff and we'll puff....
The Europeans keep trying appeasement...and it's not working!
In a one-two counter-punch, Iran's president said on Wednesday that taking European incentives to suspend uranium enrichment would be like trading gold for chocolates, and the foreign ministry spokesman, in a mocking turnabout, offered the Europeans trade incentives from Tehran. What will it take for the Europeans to get serious?
European nations said they may add a light-water reactor to a package of incentives meant to persuade Tehran to permanently give up enrichment, or face the threat of UN Security Council sanctions.
But in a nationally televised speech before thousands of people in Arak central Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cast scorn on the proposal.
"Do you think you are dealing with a 4-year-old child to whom you can give some walnuts and chocolates and get gold from him?" he said. Ahmadinejad's comment prompted immediate support from the crowd. "We love you Ahmadinejad," the crowd shouted.
