Happy Canada Day!
July first is always a terrific day. It's a time to think about what a great country Canada is. And, besides hockey in the Olympics, it's the one time when Canadians aren't afraid to show their patriotism.
This year, I hope that all Canadians think about what makes Canada great. For me, it's the fact that a nation of immigrants could come together and build a beautiful, peaceful country.
Unfortunately, these days there are people who want to tear apart our country. Our tolerance is being tested - and I believe we can no longer tolerate people who do not share our peaceful values.
The harm to this country from rabid feminists and from misguided multiculturalists is bad enough. But, the harm from cultural relativists - who cannot see the harm from islamic fascism - exceeds our worst nightmares. Fortunately, we have a government today that understands some of this - and hopefully more people will wake up and insist that our children understand what makes western culture great - and why Canada is proud to be part of that culture.
