More UN Bias Against Israel...

Guess what the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination discussed today? You guess it....the crisis in Lebanon.
At the outset of the debate, the Chairperson reminded that the debate should respect the mandate of the Committee, which was the consideration of racial discrimination. Several Experts felt that the Committee did not have an obvious mandate on this particular matter, but wished nevertheless to record their condemnation of the killing of civilians and to issue a statement in solidarity with the victims of the conflict. An Expert asked whether Israel would not have reacted with the same violence if there were no racism involved? Another Expert noted that people only gave themselves the right to kill in such a way when they had inferiorized the victims. An Expert recalled that whatever their origin, violent international conflicts imprinted themselves on hearts and minds and that conflicts also contributed to racial discrimination by generating new narratives, new discrimination and new hatreds.

Yesterday CTV wanted to get a overview on how the Canadian Gov. handled the Lebanon evacuation , so what do they do?, they pick a Pro-Shariah/Jew bashing Muslim cleric to measure the pulse of 13'000 Canadians fleeing the middle east.
The 5 minute video interview seemed worth watching , but it only took less than a minute to become a soapbox to blame Bush and Harper by claiming "Racism" was behind the Katrina and Racism was behind harper's shameful response to not have ships to help the 40,000 canadians flee the conflict.
The yahoo also said thousands of civilians have been killed and 40% are children, he then claimed Canada should have searched the damaged areas for people want to get out , his logic was that these people couldn't phone or make it to the Consulate.
First off , not all Arabs are Muslims or Muslims Arabs, many palestinians and non-Jews live in Israel and we don't see them killing Jews from backlash .
Lebanon is also diverse and so is Canada , for the CBC to assume all the canadians were Muslims and all support Hezbollah or all wanted to go to canada is so narrow minded and shody Journalism .

The 'Racism" rant at Harper made no sense, Lebanese aren't a "Race" neither are Muslims , plud New Orleans didn't fire rockets at Katrina .
I can't find the clip and the CBC had a photo with a comment underneath that was changed shortly after i read it, I guess some people didn't like the bias by reporting that the people in Lebanon were lebanese , or maybe the mob of Hezbollah supporters attacking the UN building offended the 16% that claimed they didn't back Hezbollah.

I see the Red Cross can only confirm 28 deaths in Qana , and a few appear to have been dead and placed there after the bomb hit .
