Canada Research Chairs gives into multiculturalists.....
There was a small piece in today's Ottawa Citizen about the Canada Research Chairs Program - a program that was launched six years ago to create 2,000 elite professorships.
It seems that only 15% of appointments went to women....
Well, guess what?
The Canada Research Chairs program has agreed to set targets over the next year that ensure more women, aboriginals, visible minorities and disabled people are appointed to the elite professorships.Nothing in there about merit. The real question that should be asked is whether the initial group of recipients deserved the appointments. We'll never know. What we do know is that, at least for the future, merit will only be a second consideration.

As usual, you hit the nail on the head. Multiculturalism is, I think, one of the great dangers to our society; If we don't have certain uniform beliefs about the way the country should be run we will all loose our freedoms. As a Christian I have an issue with your choice of lifestyle, but I will always defend your freedom to make that choice. I never seem to have an issue with your conservatism though,Its funny when I scan the blog for news that matters to me, I end up reading your opinion time after time. Keep up the fight for conservative values.
