Hard to know how accurate this is....
Iran has developed and tested a trigger device for a nuclear bomb, Israeli agents stationed there have told the White House, according to a report published in the New Yorker on Monday morning.
According to the report, written by Seymour M. Hersh, the White House received the information but did not hand it to the CIA.

Quite usless without weapons-grade enriched uranium. Producing it is slow - its going to take a few years yet for the centrifuges to spin out enough to make their first bomb.
Iran has years though. They are fairly safe from military intervention with unrest elsewhere tying up the US and its allies, and can shrug off sanctions. Sanctions are only effective against governments that care about their people.
