Another 'Veiled' Crime...

More and more criminals are wearing burqas...
A woman robbed a Center City bank yesterday and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The robber, dressed in Muslim clothing and wearing a pair of silver eyeglasses, walked into the Wachovia Bank branch at Broad and Walnut Streets about 2:10 p.m. and gave a teller a demand note, police said. The robber escaped after receiving the cash, police said.

It must have been one of those peaceful tolerant Muslims.

Is anyone else sick and tired of the news being dominated by Muslims? We think that global warming is our biggest threat...but I think it's global muslimifacation.

That's quite an opinion anonymous. No wonder you don't have grapes to put your name behind it.

How many bank robberies are there where the criminal simply runs in with a gun and a ski-mask and gets away?

The fact that they were wearing a burqua doesn't mean she is a muslim. Just like every criminal that robs a bank wearing a ski-mask isn't a Skiier.

That's strange, I don't see anything in the story that says the woman was a Muslim. All it said was that she was wearing Muslim clothing. For all we know she was a clever criminal taking advantage of certain cultural (and I would argue discriminatory but thats another argument) clothing in order to commit the crime.

I would argue the greatest threat is extremist ideas and values from all religious groups (yes Christians too) as they attack the fundamental liberal principles our liberal democratic society is founded upon.
