This documentary needs to be shown in Canada....

Wow! This needs to be shown. If anybody has any information on contact information for the producers, please e-mail me. I want to bring this into Ottawa.
Accepted theories about man causing global warming are "lies" claims a controversial new TV documentary.

‘The Great Global Warming Swindle’ - backed by eminent scientists - is set to rock the accepted consensus that climate change is being driven by humans.

The programme, to be screened on Channel 4 on Thursday March 8, will see a series of respected scientists attack the "propaganda" that they claim is killing the world’s poor.

Even the co-founder of Greenpeace, Patrick Moore, is shown, claiming African countries should be encouraged to burn more CO2.

Nobody in the documentary defends the greenhouse effect theory, as it claims that climate change is natural, has been occurring for years, and ice falling from glaciers is just the spring break-up and as normal as leaves falling in autumn.

It should be shown in the elementary schools that showed An Inconvenient Truth to the kids, in order to counteract the bs they spread to the kids.

Somebody should be sure to post it on Youtube or Myspace as soon as possible.

Al Gore is being bashed from the left in NOW magazine, from the right everywhere and exposed by the media for his electric bills being twenty times the amount of an average house-hold. I think the global warming debate is shifting away from blind acceptance of the theories we've been hearing.

I can remember in school when these enviro wacks came to our school and preached how acid rain was going to kill us. They said within 20 years you would not be able to go outside when it rained cause the rain would burn your skin. They said we would all have tumors on our bodies from the acid rain. I guess thats how hook them in is to start young. It made us think it was going to happen but now looking back it was just a BS agenda these people were pushing to keep their grants going.

Apparently the person who remembers being informed about acid rain years ago fails to remember that some of the most progressive environmental laws regarding pollutants in the air and water were passed due to the very real occurences of acid rain and other horrible issues related to chronic pollution in the 50s and 60s. The reason the problem was abated is because western countries - including Canada and the US passed extensive environmental laws during the late 60s through the early 80s.

Do you remember when Cleveland's Cuyahoga River (meaning the actual water, not the land) caught fire in 1969? It happenned during the peak of the environmental pollution scandals that rocked North America at the time.

Since when does being conservative mean rejecting science and burying your heads in the sand?

If you're going to blindly believe that global warming is a myth, two things. First, be honest about it instead of dancing around "pretending" to care while doing nothing. Secondly, at least be factually accurate in your tarring and feathering of scientists who are trying to warn us of the growing problem.

It's just stupid.

Agreed with the above anonymous. It's true that no one can possibly be certain. The IPCC doesn't say it is certain, and I won't believe anyone who does say they are certain.

But I've said it before and I'll say it again. There's no harm in trying. Better safe than sorry.
