India says no to cutting CO2 emissions....

Not surprising....
As countries debate a successor pact for the Kyoto Protocol to tackle global warming, a top environmentalist yesterday said it would be unfair to ask India to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

"It would be unfair to expect India to cut down on emissions," Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change Chairman R K Pachauri told reporters here.

Good for India, just starting to establish itself as a major industrial power. I believe they also plan to build coal fired electrical generating plants. In no time at all, they should pass our emissions, then the AGW people can get on India's and China's cases, where they will be promptly told to take a hike.
