Record cold in Queensland, Australia

Yet another area is experiencing record cold temperatures.
A RECORD cold snap across southern Queensland has triggered coral bleaching normally associated with the extremes of hot weather linked to climate change.

Professor Hoegh-Guldberg said the comfort zone for coral was between 19C and 27C but temperatures had fallen to 8C.

Wow. Interesting, you didn't publish the story about the record drought in Australia, wherein Howard has mused about cutting off irrigation for farmers, costing billions. I guess that minor tidbit doesn't fit into your denier bias. You found the needle, but you missed the haystack.

Not at all. I'm not the mainstream media...I'm trying to highlight stories that people might not see...and a record cold snap in Australia is interesting.

When the weather is hot or there is a drought, then the media is full of global warming stories. When the reverse happens, well there is usually nothing in the media...or there are stories that spin it so that, once again, global warming is the culprit.

I really don't get the right's seige mentality when it comes to the media. The posture, an outrageous bias towards global warming, while ignoring the other side. How do we sift through the noise, to see what is really occuring? We ask a APOLITICAL, NON-PARTISAN group for answers. Bias alright, just like the Carleton University studies in the last two elections that showed a MASSIVE anti-Liberal bias in the coverage. Conservatives use the media crutch ad nauseum, even though the facts suggest otherwise.

Ateve...sorry I disagree. Articles about global warming are in the press everyday. The only place where I see a regular stream of articles that are skeptical is in the Financial Post. CBC? CTV? Globe & Mail? Nah....forget it...they should report the party line.

Considering we have a world wide phenomenon, why wouldn't it be in the news continually? The National Post ran a "DENIER" series, but the lack of "skeptical" coverage might just have to do with the fact that 99% of expert opinion believes in global warming. Why should the fringe lunatic get fair coverage? You don't see any stories on man never landing on the moon do you, because it has little relevance to reality, much like the denier crowd.

What's your source that 99% of expert opinion believes that global warming is human-induced???

Is science done by consensus???
