Denmark sees huge increase in CO2 emissions...

Several months ago, I went to a presentation here in Ottawa by the Danish Minister of the Environment. Everything seemed so rosy on the Kyoto front - and he was ready to do battle with the Bush administration.

And, now look at this...

Denmark's CO2 emissions rose 16.1 per cent in 2006 compared to the previous year on the back of strong economic growth and electricity exports from coal-fired power plants, according to statistics released today.
