Stats Canada and Murder...
Today, Stats Canada issued their analysis of murder in Canada...
However, in their 'daily' they just won't tell you that 73% of all homicide victims in Canada were male - and that' s the highest percengate in over 10 years.
You have to go to the raw stats to find this data...and it's the last table in their report..
In 2006, 442 males were murdered, to 162 females. Could you imagine their indignation if the numbers were reversed???

Sure, there would be indignation if the numbers were reversed; but don't forget that the majority of male homicide victims are either "known to police", have a criminal record or are gang members. So the public is not going to feel terriby sympathetic towards them.
