They now take care of pets...but what about men???

Now, there are programs to take care of pets of women in shelters..what about shelters for men who are abused???

Dogs and cats are not usually a primary concern for anyone trying to help women escape abusive homes. But if a small Ontario safety program is any indication, perhaps they should be.

Because she knew her cats would be cared for, a woman who might otherwise have endured continued beatings was able to escape to the safety of a women's shelter.

We know that husbands and wives are absued on an equal basis. Yet, men have nowhere to go when they need help.
