Over 400 scientists have disputed major parts of global warming...

It seems like almost everyday there is a new report questioning some part of the global warming dogma...

Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called “consensus” on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.

The new report issued by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee’s office of the GOP Ranking Member details the views of the scientists, the overwhelming majority of whom spoke out in 2007.

Even some in the establishment media now appear to be taking notice of the growing number of skeptical scientists. In October, the Washington Post Staff Writer Juliet Eilperin conceded the obvious, writing that climate skeptics “appear to be expanding rather than shrinking.” Many scientists from around the world have dubbed 2007 as the year man-made global warming fears “bite the dust.” In addition, many scientists who are also progressive environmentalists believe climate fear promotion has “co-opted” the green movement.

This blockbuster Senate report lists the scientists by name, country of residence, and academic/institutional affiliation. It also features their own words, biographies, and weblinks to their peer reviewed studies and original source materials as gathered from public statements, various news outlets, and websites in 2007. This new “consensus busters” report is poised to redefine the debate.

Many of the scientists featured in this report consistently stated that numerous colleagues shared their views, but they will not speak out publicly for fear of retribution. Atmospheric scientist Dr. Nathan Paldor, Professor of Dynamical Meteorology and Physical Oceanography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, author of almost 70 peer-reviewed studies, explains how many of his fellow scientists have been intimidated.

“Many of my colleagues with whom I spoke share these views and report on their inability to publish their skepticism in the scientific or public media,” Paldor wrote.
Here's the link to that US Senate report.

Developed countries will spend billions, needlessly, before the true realities of the global warming hysteria is finally brought to light. The scientists who are not speaking out because of fear of retribution are going to have to suck it up, stand and be counted.

I hope that the hysteria, hype, delusion, and hypocrisy surrounding this issue is beginning to fizzle, but I fear that it will take a long time. A lot of people, from politicians, scientists, media types have contributed so much to the "religion" of AGW, they just have too much invested to let it go. It is much easier to dismiss the dissenters, either claim that they are in the pocket of big oil (a perennial favorite) or declare that the science is settled, and then ignore any contrary evidence. It is pathetic. I hate the cold, but I actually hope that we have a few colder than average years - I think this would help to dispel the myth. It is even difficult to raise the subject with friends - one never knows who has "drunk the kool-aid".

First Gayand have you ever tried to do a post on a Liberal blog or any left wing blogs out there?

Let me tell you that I have on some of these left wing Liberal blogs particular on this subject global warming oh sorry I mean climate change. If you try to contradict them on global warming (Climate change),they will call you a global warming denier, insult you, call you names hang on to every typo that you may make, they will say that you don't know what you are talking about. They then champion that they are for free speech. Yep only if you happen to agree with them.

Gayand can you believe the Liberal blogs at least some don't like to be called left wing. They think that Mr. S.Dion is a centrist even though he has said that the Liberal platform would lean left amazing hu?

I'm a Conservative a right wing from Montreal and proud of it these people for some unexplained reason seem to be embarrassed to be called left wing go figure.

You’re such a pathetic liar Johnny. First of all, you were calling someone a Liberal, who is not a Liberal or even a supporter of the LPC. Next, you failed to appreciate that the term “Leftist” is usually intended in a derogatory way because as it was pointed out to you, it implies the more hardcore extremes of “the left” such as communists or socialists. Aside from which, it’s a silly term. Are you and Fred “Rightists”? See…it’s dumb. Then, you got all indignant and huffy because people were nitpicking over your muddled confusion with small-l “liberals” and Liberals. At which point, you got all flustered, started whining and fled the scene moaning about what a bunch of morons those mean lefty libs are because they’re ashamed to be called “left wing.” Now you’re here whinging. Man, it’s just sad. You’re a moveable feast of idiocy.

Today, you bluster onto CC’s site saying that it’s not “normal” for the country to be so reliant on radioisotopes from one plant, apparently without having a clue about the background situation, the facts or anything to do with the business dealings of AECL other than attempting to turn the matter into a partisan bashing of Liberals (again, on a site that has no particular love for the Libs — go figure). Then you moan and whine about people picking on you because English isn’t your first language even though you blog in English, would have been understood in French and the “point” you were attempting to make would have been exactly the same in either language — even to the extent of the word “normal” being identical. Presented with facts, evidence, background info, etc. you turn tail, call everyone morons and storm off again in a huff. Boo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo!

I think sensible people are quite capable of determining which one of us is Chock Full o'Nuts there, Johnny. But don't worry, I'll leave you alone — you just shouldn't go around spreading untruths or half-truths in an effort to whip up a pity party for yourself, that's all.
