Alaskan glaciers grow.....

You won't see this in the mainstream press....
A bitterly cold Alaskan summer has had surprising results. For the first time in the area's recorded history, area glaciers have begun to expand, rather than shrink. Summer temperatures, which were some 3 degrees below average, allowed record levels of winter snow to remain much longer, leading to the increase in glacial mass.

"In mid-June, I was surprised to see snow still at sea level in Prince William Sound", said glaciologist Bruce Molnia. "In general, the weather this summer was the worst I have seen in at least 20 years".

"On the Juneau Icefield, there was still 20 feet of new snow on the surface [in] late July. At Bering Glacier, a landslide I am studying [did] not become snow free until early August."

Molnia, who works for the US Geological Survey, said it's been a "long time" since area glaciers have seen a positive mass balance -- an increase in the total amount of ice they contain.

If you go to this site you can check Arctic ice cover for two dates at the same time.If you set one at yesterday and one at a year ago yesterday you will see there is more ice now than then. If you keep one at yesterday and continue to change the other to prevoius years.... well you get the picture.

Global warming is a joke.

Don't expect the 'Warmongers' to admit its over; we will just be able to tell by their silence on the issue or the advent of the newest impending disaster that they need to save us from.(with the help of our money, or rights, or both)

Check out the site iceagenow.com - there's tons of info you don't hear anywhere else.

A graduate student at the University of Alberta recently modelled the effects of global warming on Rocky Mountain glaciers. He found that many glaciers might at first grow due to increased precipitation.

This doesn't prove or disprove global warming. It does show that glacier growth (or recession, for that matter) is not good evidence in this debate.

So they'll just keep on looking till they find a model that will work for them?

Make it fit?

That's bad science.

Worthy British 'scientists' recently stated that the Arctic is melting even in winter - foolishness like this actually gets published, which is even more unbelievable since a child could perform an experiment in the kitchen proving that ice doesn't melt when it's below freezing. And if these 'scientists' don't think it's below freezing in the Arctic during winter they should take the trip up there in their Bermuda shorts. Nuts.
