I'm happy that Harper has his prorogue of Parliament. Let's hope the Conservatives can spend a month thinking about policy rather than politics.

I wouldn't be so happy. The Conservatives will now have to come back with a stimulus package that will be massive in scale. This is unnecessary and useless and the so-called coalition will still probably bring the government down after it is passed. Only this time they will be able to pin the failure of this socialist handout, which will do nothing, on the Conservatives.
They won't do that. They have all the power now. They will make an honest effort to include the opposition in the budget prep, which they will bitch and moan all the way about and still will not be happy.
The budget will have some token concessions but will pass anyway. The Liberal part in is shambles and will replace Dion before the vote and/or there will be MP's defecting to the CPC.
Who needs Parliament? Not Harper...nosiree.
I bet Harper and the GG took so long because he wanted to prorogue indefinitely and she forced a deadline on him.
He ought to have faced the music in the House.
