If Israel is your enemy, so am I...
Can't say it better than Susan Estrich...
I do not always like everything Israel does. I do not always like everything my own country does. But I love Israel for the determination and courage of its people in standing up to the terrorists who would destroy it. And I detest those who traffic in anti-Semitism and then seek to excuse their hatred of me by saying no, it isn't Jews they hate. Just Israel. Liars.
The world is busy condemning Israel. The media are busy doubting its future. Time magazine goes on for pages about why Israel can't win. Maybe it can't, but it also can't lose.
Dick Morris says this is the doves' war, the last chance for the left-leaning government of Prime Minister Olmert and Defense Minister Barak to beat back the prospect of defeat by the more hard-line Binyamin Netanyahu. Politics is relative. From what I know, there are no doves in Israel. How can you be a dove when the rockets are landing 17 miles outside of Tel Aviv? You can fight or you can fight more. If Hamas can get away with murder, why should Iran fear at all?
No one likes seeing civilians suffer and die. No one likes seeing hospitals overrun, supplies running out, doctors near exhaustion. But terrorists who use schools and hospitals as launching pads for attacks should not complain when the bombs hit the targets they have created. No one likes to see children die, but so-called leaders who use their children as pawns and train them to kill should not expect sympathy when the lives they risk so carelessly are then lost.
If I knew the answer, I would tell you. I don't. But I know what isn't the answer. It is not the answer to sit back and let the rockets rain down. It is not the answer to let terrorists attack you and not fight back.
We will not go back to the ovens. Israel was the answer to the ovens, and if Israel is your enemy, so am I.

Yes, hating Israel makes you anti-semite, we get it. You can not be critical of Israel with out hating the jews. It's simply not possible, and can't be done.
What about those who are neither Pro-Palestinian or Pro-Israel, but instead see this as an issue of human rights, they condemn Israel, are they anti-Semites as well?
I couldn't stand the Bush presidency. I guess I must hate all Americans. I must be anti-Americ.
You see, the idea of some one having a legitimate concern over Israels actions, and being genuinely concerned for human life is far to much to fathom for the right leaning neo-cons.
Doing what's right is a foreign concept do these people. Unless we have evil motives, they can not understand why. It's much easier to generalize and lump everyone who disagrees with them together.
The big pile-on this little nation is highly suspect. There are so many other nations that people could demonstrate against, starting with China.
It is strange that all these leftists have forgotten Israel's socialist history. But it is so much easier to go with the flow and hate Jews. Shame.
For the anonymous posters that are too lazy to click a button to put any kind of name in, allow me to elaborate for you.
Those of us on the right have become mighty suspicious of you folks on the left for your extremely selective sense of outrage.
You see, it seems that we have all missed your protests of the Russian invasion of Georgia. We also missed your protests about Dafur, Rwanada, Chechnya. The coverage of your protests about the public hangings of gays in Iran also seems to have been very scant.
Sooooo, when we read your drivel on this topic we tend to be a bit skeptical about your lack of bigotry. After, it is not the right that is stumbling around with signs that say "Jews ARE Terroist !" (That's verbatim by the way, not easy to get a three word sentence both grammatically incorrect and screw up the spelling). Nor are we the ones heard to say, "Jewish child, you are gonna F'in die". That is direct from the people YOU support. Hope it gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling on these cold winter nights.
...being genuinely concerned for human life is far to much to fathom for the right leaning neo-cons"
Really? So says the pro-abortion lefties. Talking outta both sides of your face now aren't ya? Far be it for anyone to care about any ISREALI lives that were lost over the last few years where 6000 friggin rockets were fired indiscriminately into Isreal from Gaza.
What amused me the most is how Hamas tried to pull Hezbollah into the fray, thinking there'd be solidarity (and backup) only to find the Hezbollah wasn't having any part of it. Better look at Iran and Syria for support... oh and also "progressives" - they're useful idiots if I've ever seen them....
most of these so called "protesters" are just attention whores. They somehow feel chic or virtuous or something by protesting.
they never stop to realize that if they actually WERE to protest this way in any arab or muslim country, they would most likely be arrested, tortured and executed by the governments...yes, even in gaza.
the european ones, i think, have some kind of guilt feelings because their parents and grandparents either did nothing during the holocaust or else, actively participated. Their rationale is "hmmm...I'll show the world...this time we'll support the underdog."
What they are too stupid to realize is that it's Israel that's the underdog. The arabs have tons of money, loads of land and huge populations.
but palis just love being thought of as the world's biggest victims...and the ONLY "refugees" on this planet.
After 60 f'ing years....WHY THE HELL ARE THEY STILL REFUGEES???
