New way to fight global warming - have fewer kids...
I'd like the UK government to take this message to the Muslim community...
COUPLES who have more than two children are being “irresponsible” by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, the government’s green adviser has warned.
Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.
A report by the commission, to be published next month, will say that governments must reduce population growth through better family planning.
“I am unapologetic about asking people to connect up their own responsibility for their total environmental footprint and how they decide to procreate and how many children they think are appropriate,” Porritt said.

We already have low birthrates in the west. Giving potential parents a guilt trip isn't a solution. One solution is limiting immigration into western countries. The focus on "better family planning" should rather be on third world countries and areas with high population density, like India, China, etc. Yet, the only ones that follow the Church of Global warming are the westerners, while the rest of the underdeveloped world keeps popping out babies.
Great idea. Hey, why have kids at all? Eventually all humans will be dead and then the planet will be healthy again. Right?
I'd like to see Mr. Porritt go sell this idea in the no-go muslim enclaves in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Or are only kuffar children a danger to the planet?
"According to research by The Times, Office for National Statistics data shows that the Muslim population in Britain has grown by more than 500,000 between 2004 and 2008... The Islamic population multiplied 10 times faster than other population groups in British society. Experts have put the Islamic population explosion down to the effects of mass immigration, a higher birthrate amongst Muslim communities and conversion to Islam."
I think this is where planned parenthood should be aimed at. Britain without the Mohammedan colonizers... Pure utopia.
