It's official - kill homosexuals by stoning....

I wasn't sure if it was stoning or having a wall pushed on top of you....
All homosexuals should face stoning to death, a Muslim preacher of hate declared yesterday.

Anjem Choudary, the firebrand cleric who wants to see Britain ruled by Sharia law, said such a regime was the only way to fix the country's ills.

Under it, adulterers and homosexuals would be killed by stoning. Asked if that would include anybody - even a Cabinet minister such as Business Secretary Lord Mandelson - Choudary responded with an astonishing diatribe.

He said: 'If a man likes another man, it can happen, but if you go on to fulfil your desire, if it is proved, then there is a punishment to follow. You don't stone to death unless there are four eyewitnesses. It is a very stringent procedure.

'There are some people who are attracted to donkeys but that does not mean it is right.'
Is this an admission that some of his friends are attracted to donkeys???

Hey Fred, I've enjoyed your prolific blogging and linked posts for some time now.

I have to ask, why is it that the gay community appears to be so pro-Islam?? If not "pro-Islam", then at least the community appears to be deluded enough to try for a "live and let live" approach?? It's pretty clear to me, based on what I've read, and through discussion with muslims that I work with, that gay people in Canada would suffer horribly were muslim attitudes adopted.

Weird.

Cheers,
DaveT

I agree Anonymous. It is symptomatic of the whole free speech liberal culture we have taken for granted. Any threat to any minority is often collectively supported by the so-called spokespeople of other minority groups. These so-called spokespeople have no mandate and unfortunately this means the image that "the gay community appears to be so pro-Islam" occurs. It affects all sorts of other minority groups as well. As with anything like this you will find your usual trade unionists, feminists, blacks, gays, lesbians, communists and so on. The fact is they remain a minority within their own minority. I dare say that many do support the views put forth by their unelected spokespeople, but as you point out you cannot be gay and support Islam, just like you cannot be a feminist either. In fact you're buggered if you're anything but Muslim when it comes to Islam.
