Malaysian muslims parade cow head - charged with sedition...

Does anybody know if this offense carries the death penalty?

Six people were charged at the Sessions Court under the Sedition Act this morning.

Two of them were charged with stepping on the cow's head, one with bringing the head while three others were charged with bringing and stepping on it.

The offence was committed at an assembly in front of the Selangor state secretariat on Aug 28.

They also face an alternative charge of wounding the Hindu religion with their action.
