Can't Abbas pick up the phone???

He wants the President of the Maldives to tell Netanyahu he is ready to discuss peace!
Mahmoud Abbas recently asked Moldavian President Mohamed Nasheed to pass along a message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a Malé-based newswire reported on Saturday.

According to the independent Moldavian news agency Minivan, the purported message reiterated the Ramallah-based Palestinian government's interest in reviving dialogue with Israel.

In a telephone call with Nasheed last week, Abbas was quoted as telling the president that he wished to resume talks started during former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's administration. Abbas further requested that Nasheed discuss with Netanyahu his government's policy of constructing settlements in occupied territory, according to the news agency.
