Lebanon goes to the dark side....

Iran needs more representation...
Lebanese President Michel Suleiman told visiting Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi that the two countries must coordinate their positions efforts within the UN Security Council, Lebanese newspaper An Nahar's website reported Saturday.

Lebanon was among the five countries elected to the United Nations Security Council in October.

Not that I support Iran or anything, but I am guessing you believe Israel is a shining beacon of light who can do no harm? Please, who the heck are you kidding?
This far right government is as far right as Iran's, I see no difference. Both are hell bent in being the most powerful player in the region and both will stop at nothing to do so. Its only the perception of the western media that generates this difference in many westerners eyes.
Lebanon is a small country that is influenced by its terrible neighbors (including Syria) and needs to make alliances to survive. I wish this was not the case but being a weaker country surrounded by far more powerful ones forces these types of things to occur.
Dark side? No. Unfortunate necessity due to uncontrollable factors? Yes. The Lebanese are for the most part very wary of Iran (with the exception of SOME Shia) and understand the need for these types of alliances but thats as far as it goes.

If you see no difference between the Iranian government and the Israeli government, then what can I say?

The first is genocidal, and the second wants peace.

Blah blah blah, typical rantor. Peaceful? Listen I am not saying Iran is a peaceful nation, far from it. But you dont have to dig too deep to realize that Israel is no different. What they have done to the Palestinians during the past 60 is nothing less than genocide.
What they have done to the Lebanese during the 30 may not be genocide but was catastrophic.
BOTH nations hold no moral high ground on any level. BOTH nations want nothing more but to instigate conflict in an already conflict ridden region. Its sad that the Lebanese-a good and decent, hospitable people- have such awful neighbors and have paid a very dear price for it.

Sorry, you just don't understand the meaning of the word genocide.

Ahh no I guess I dont. Why dont you explain it to me? Here is the definition from wiki:

Article 2 of this convention defines genocide as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."[1]

Except for the measures preventing births, sound very much up Israel's ally, especially the last part.

Blah blah blah, your sanctimonious rant against Israel can be applicable to near any country on Earth.

Iran is a theocracy, Israel is a DEMOCRACY.

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?
