Chinese working hard to weaken sanctions against Iran...
Not surprising....
China has proposed changes to a U.S.-drafted resolution that would impose tough new sanctions against Iran to pressure the Islamic Republic to start negotiations on its suspect nuclear program, U.N. diplomats said Wednesday.
The diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity because the negotiations are private, indicated the Chinese amendments would weaken the U.S. sanctions proposal. China's U.N. Ambassador Li Baodong said last week that Beijing wants to focus on "diplomacy" rather than harsh sanctions.

China wants to maintain their oil supply contract, so this easing of the sanctions has been expected for quite some time.
I think it might be best if China injects itself into the Iranian regime and makes Chinese expertise essential to the operations of that Country.
China wants free trade, not an ideology based war,and once Iran is in the palm of China's hand, they may find it easier to go along with the Master than to continue the "rogue" ways they've enjoyed the last 28 years or so.
China may be the best deterrent to Iran, in view of the current American President, King Neville II.
