Lie of the day...Iran says its missiles are defensive...

Well, I thought everybody could use a laugh...
IRAN accused the United States of 'deception' on Saturday and insisted its missiles are for self-defence only after a top US official charged that the Islamic republic could rain missiles down on Europe.

'The Islamic Republic's missile capability has been designed and implemented to defend against any military aggression and it does not threaten any nation,' Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi said in a statement carried by state media.

Iran has learnt from the example of N Korea and Iraq.
Iraq had no big weapons and was invaded, N Korea has and nobody touches it.

You're not quite accurate...everybody believed that Iraq had WMD and they were still invaded.

Nobody believed they had nukes, that lie was exposed a long time before any invasion.

And, nobody said they had nukes either. The western powers (france, UK, Germany, Russia and the US) believed that Saddam Hussein had WMD. In fact, right before the invasion, Hussein told King Abdullah of Jordan that he did, in fact, have WMD.

"Although there is very little intelligence, we continue to judge that Iraq is pursuing a nuclear weapons programme." Tony Blair to the Commons.

"This regime is seeking a nuclear bomb, and with fissile material could build one. The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa". George Bush.
