Canada's New Economic Role...

There's a small article in today's Ottawa Citizen reporting that the Syrians will turn to Canada if the US imposes sanctions.

Abdullah al-Dardari, who also directs the country's finance ministry, said Syria plans to abide by the terms of a UN resolution requiring its full co-operations in the probe of Rafik Hariri's death, but was also planning to evade expected US sanctions.

"To be honest, sanction busters are everywhere," Mr. al-dardari told the British Financial Times. "There are American companies setting up in Canada to sell to Syria."

Could this be Canada's new economic opportunity???? We could be the conduit to block trade sanctions.
