The culture of entitlement..

Finally, the first report of the Gomery investigation is out. What I'm most interested in is how this will affect our democracy...and it appears from Gomery's TV appearance today that his second report will have some good recommendations for our Crown Corporations. Hopefully, the era of political appointees to Crown Corporations will be ended...and an era of professional management ushered in. Of course, the Government won't do that on its own...it will have to be in the recommendations of the second Gomery Report.

Of course, I'd like to see the power of the Prime Minister's office reduced...right now, he can name Senators, Governor-Generals, Judges, etc...all on his own.
