Shame on Chapters/Indigo!
Indigo caves in to the Islamists. Shame on them!
The largest book retailer in the country has pulled all copies of the June edition of Harper's Magazine because it reprints a series of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad, according to a media report.
Indigo Books and Music said in a memo that it decided to take the magazine off the stands because it may be offensive to Muslims.
The June edition of Harper's features 12 cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that were originally published in September 2005 in Denmark and were reprinted in other European papers last winter.

So it's Ok for Indigo to presuppose Muslims are drawn to violence and predisposed to murder for any perceived Blasphemy that offends them.
But Indigo draws the line at reprinting a political cartoon.
Muslims in Canada should be outraged by that alone , forget the cartoon.
Personally I'm all for free speech, but what's the point of putting all the cartoons out there again ? I think everyone got the point about free speech the first time round, so why continue to antagonize the Muslims ? Canada is supposed to be tolerant, so why should Indigo support Harper's Magazine needling them further ? Don't buy into it because they're just trying to sell magazines with more controversy.
Chapters/Indigo is to be commended for treating Harper's the same or almost the same as the Western Standard. I brought a copy of the issue to the cash yesterday and told them it was a disgrace that they were selling Harper's after censoring the Western Standard. I am glad they backed down.
Of course, banning either of them is wrong, but it really didn't smell right when they refused to carry a conservative Canadian newsmagazine while selling a liberal American magazine.
I guess that you folks don't realise that indigo/chapters are the official keepers of the moral and politically correct standards of Canada. the owner Her Royal (Moral) Highness Heater Riecman(sp) or whatever her last name is has banned other books that SHE feels are not fit for the masses of unwashed to have read to them. Try to bye a mag such as Guns And Ammo or other shooting related mags there. She has close leftie lieberal connections.
I have never seen these "offensive" cartons. Anyboby know where they are on the web??
At least the left and right are fully agreed that muslims are uncontrollably violent. Savages.
