My name is Fred and I am a gay conservative living in Ottawa. This blog supports limited government, the right of the State of Israel to live in peace and security, and tries to expose the threat to us all from cultural relativism, post-modernism, and radical Islam. A useless post...and a useless job....

Here's a job that just shouldn't exist.
UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau has just announced he's creating the new post of vice chancellor for equity and inclusion -- a job that not only has an impressive title, but an equally impressive salary of between $182,000 and $282,000 a year.

Plus an office budget in excess of $4 million.

The goal isn't so much to recruit more minorities but rather to ensure students, faculty and staff are "fully respected for their individuality and what they represent," Birgeneau said.

Birgeneau said the aim is "to prize our diversity and learn from it and to appreciate people for being part of the whole but also for what they as individuals bring to Berkeley."
I just feel like throwing up. When will Universities learn that the only thing worth talking about is merit and competence?

Non-discrimination is good. Enforcing non-discrimination is therefor good. But when it turns into positive-discrimination and bending over backwards to accomodate the demands of any minority, its gone too far.

Universities and colleges, especially public institutions must be all inclusive and broadly tolerant, even to the point of excluding those who are not politically correct.

In Canada, the Charter of Rights & Freedoms guarantees both the federal and provincial governments the right to advance the issues, policies and programs of women and other disadvantaged minorities.

Canada is a liberal democracy, with a bit of a socialist twist....We do not tolerate bigotry and hatred that many in the Conservative Party adhere to.

Here's a list of things that spook Muzzies:

Freakin' weird. It's way beyond superstitious! More like a bad case of OCD.

I particularly like the following:

"141. If a page from the holy Qur'an, or any sacred object like a paper on which the names of Almighty Allah or the Holy Prophet or the holy Imams are written, falls in a lavatory, it is obligatory to take it out and make it Pak with water, no matter what expenses it may entail. And, if it is not possible to take it out, the use of that lavatory should be discontinued till such time when one is certain that the page has dissolved and petered out."

So next time you visit a university, take a copy of the Koran (Arabic version - I don't think translations count) and whenever you feel the need, drop a page down, pee on it, but don't flush!
